Each one with has own way of designing and making the conveniences for home away from home. You'll find a variety of layouts and different features, but there are some basics that come in most RVs.
Space is all according to the size of the RV that your purchasing, but most will have wonderful storage capabilities. When it comes down to actually purchasing RV you want to look at the storage capabilities more than the actual living space, after all, it's going to be your home away from home and you're going to need enough room to store everything.
Almost all RV's will have a restroom of some sort or another. You may find those with a full bathroom along with bathtub and shower, or those that are smaller that just have a port a potty, mirror and sink. Of course the best part of packing your own bathroom with you is the ability to not have to look for public restrooms or rest stops.
Many RVs will offer you the basic kitchen necessities such as a sink, stove, and a refrigerator. How well these work is according to how new your RV is, also, check with your electrical situation and make sure that you can plug in a coffee pot as well as a microwave.
You'll also want to check out the bedroom facilities and whether your whole family will have a comfortable area to sleep. Many RVs allow for some storage areas to be converted into bed. If you're one that's going to need this bed, look for those type of RVs that allow you to store some items on top, or underneath. There's nothing worse than driving all day, pulling out all of the stuff that's been stored in the bed and then having to make it up to boot.
Your water storage facility is another thing to check out with any RV. If you're purchasing a used RV make sure it's been sanitized and has no leaks, and if it's a brand-new RV follow manufacturer specifications for your potable and gray water sources. Also, make sure that you have enough equipment to empty all of these containers efficiently especially the sanitation area.
Regardless of what RV you eventually choose to purchase, make sure that everything works and that you have enough storage to store all of your comfortable away from home items. Also, make sure that you have a warrantee with your RV, even if you have to purchase it separately. That way if you have problems on the road you can get things fixed quickly and efficiently.
